A regular maintenance regimen will help keep your natural stone looking its best. It is recommended to sweep, dust mop, or vacuum prior to wet mopping with a pH-balanced neutral cleaner and warm water. Natural stones are sensitive to harsh chemicals. Using a product like vinegar, or anything with acidic properties or strong alkaline agents, is not recommended. These solvents can etch natural stones, especially polished stones like marble and onyx, which are by nature more delicate. It is also recommended to periodically seal all stone, particularly when installed in wet areas. Other large surfaces, such as flooring, are often best cared for by a licensed maintenance company to protect your natural stone. | |

Absolutely love this item. It will be used on my kitchen backsplash for a luxury decoration. Product was almost half the price then locally in stores. My only disappointment was in the packaging since all four corners of the box was split open when it arrived via USPS. However, the contents were undamaged.

Where else can you get 4 SF of green onyx tile? Mar 29, 2011

Ordered 4 SF of green onyx tile for a fireplace surround. Every other supplier wanted a minimum order of 10 SF. Loved the green onyx, but what else would we do with it? It arrived promptly and was safely if creatively packaged, and unscathed. Appeared as in the photo (it's a natural product, and they can't guarantee the appearance of every tile). Very satisfied.

Beautiful onyx mosaic tiles! Jan 14, 2012

These tiles are beautiful and came packaged so securely that not one piece was broken! They are mounted on a strong mesh 1 ft x 1 ft and placed in a box surrounded by foam. Each sheet was separated by cardboard, about 7 sheets per box. I used them on an entire wall in my new bathroom behind the vanity, and also made a "picture window" with it in the travertine shower and also around the tub deck. Make sure you use a white colored thin-set mortar when installing, as the tiles are opaque. There is some variation in thickness of the tile so it is not always easy to make completely level, but that just adds to the character of the natural stone. The only problem I had with it was when my tile contractor sealed it. He sprayed on the sealer (which the product specifically says not to do) and then wiped it down, but I could see drip marks and a cloudiness after it dried. I made him come back and he used an electric polisher which helped a lot, but frankly I wish I hadn't sealed the wall area in the first place. Maybe if he had sealed it correctly the first time it would look as shiny as the tiles do before installation.

Very happy with my green onyx tile. It looked as pretty as the picture and was half the price of the big Home store.

I first saw this green onyx mosaic at a big box home improvement store. I found it on Amazon and ordered a sample. The sample was not as highly polished as the display panel at the big box store. However, the price was $5.00 less per tile than the department store with free shipping. So, I decided to order 18 pieces to use as border in a bathroom.
The tile arrived promptly, sooner than expected. Less than 5 squares of the all tiles were broken. The product I was received looked better than the sample tile. My final purchased tiles were more polished, but not with was as high sheen as the big box department stores onyx. But for my purposes, this was tile went perfect as a border with ceramic tile in a bathroom. Unless you are pairing this with another high sheen tile, I do not think it is worth the extra money for high gloss sheen mosaic tile in the big box department store.
